The great PM gives one of his most famous speeches. It starts off quite calmly but the old master builds the suspence. Once Churchill was speaking in Parliament and was slightly muddled and incoherent in his speech. A rather unattractive lady MP on the opposite benches declared to Churchill: 'Sir, you are drunk!'. To which he replied 'Madame that may be true, but in the morning I shall be sober...

Now Google "Bengal Famine of 1943". Churchill's policies killed over 3 million in India alone. British didn't "fight on the beaches". They stole wealth from their colonies and left millions to die. Soviets and American did a good job fighting on land against the Nazis. I dont see how this man is a hero.

Thats all proven to be Complete distortion and propaganda, from people who do not do there are research.Churchill made several attempts to get the food to Bengal and the minutes of discussions in Parliament and deployment organised from Canada, Australia and Iraq, is in Parliamentary notes over the call Because of the Duration of the War.Cap let's not let THE FACTS get in the way of your storytelling. The Japanese were mainly to blame for the famine and Churchill made attempts to get the feed there, but had the small problem of having a worldwide war, with Japanese occupied regions around Bengal and where he and UK were fighting alone against both Germany and Italy, who had all the technology , oil and natural resources of virtually the entire continental Europe, making it effectively UK against Germany, France, Poland, Czechoslovakia, et cetera *

Shakespeare himself hath no words, more powerful nor poem more moving to the human heart then this great speech. In my humble opinion this very speech is the turning point of the War. Sir Winston Churchill stood alone in the darkness and said this is the high water mark of the darkness and because of this very speech the war began to shift.

Yes people don't give enough credit, because they forget about the natural resources acquired when you occupy region.People think it was just Germany and Italy, but the reason why this was so brave was that the Nazis now had all of the tech and natural resources from France, Poland, and Czechoslovakia, to add to their attacking power and sustainability. If the Nazis had successfully invaded UK and took the tech, and natural resources (radar, incredible planes, incredible shipping, oil, incredible Intel), they would have easily crushed the Soviet Union, because Hitler wouldn't need to divert to get the Soviet oil and then the USA would be definitely be screwed because because it's resources would be nothing compared to both Germany and Japan and it would still be some time before they developed the atomic weapons

and people fail to realise that Germany and Italy, when attacking UK and its colonies (undeveloped countries at this time by comparison) globally for 2 years, had the tech, Intel, natural resources and to certain extent even the manpower (factories) of France, Czechoslovakia and Poland
